Description
St. Phillips Anglican church is an icon in Charleston, SC. Founded in 1680, it is the oldest congregation in the USA, south of Virginia. This beautiful, infrared black and white capture perfectly accentuates the ancient tree lined streets of Charleston that surround St. Phillips.
I love infrared black and white and have a dedicated camera that is converted to only capture infrared. Photographing in this spectrum can yield stunning and unique results. Infrared photography captures wavelengths of light that are beyond the visible spectrum, giving a surreal and ethereal appearance to the images. Greenery and trees are particularly interesting subjects for infrared photography due to their distinct foliage and texture.
