Description
A sweeping view of a tranquil beach leads the eye towards a cluster of houses under a dramatic sky. The photo, captured in infrared, black and white, emphasizes the contrasting textures between the clouds and the smooth surface of the water. This scene I photographed at Breach Inlet, between Isle of Palms and Sullivans Island, SC, just off the coast of Charleston. This was the last image that I photographed that captures the iconic "round house", across the inlet on Sullivan's. It's been an icon for decades but was recently torn down in May, 2024. I am so happy to have this landscape that includes the "round house'.
