Description
I photographed this beautiful fall scene driving the "Million Dollar Highway" between Ouray and Silverton, Colorado. The aspen were at their peak with their remarkable golden tones. And this was a very interesting area, having been very rich mining country at one time. The old mine buildings on the left side of the landscape add wonderful interest. I thought the title "Gold Rush" spoke to both the mining heritage and the beautiful aspen foliage.
