Description
I photographed this group of lovely Mexican fan palms in infrared black and white. This method distinctly isolates their leafy fronds. I also love infrared black and white and have a dedicated camera that is converted to only capture infrared. Photographing in this spectrum can yield stunning and unique results. Infrared photography captures wavelengths of light that are beyond the visible spectrum, giving a surreal and ethereal appearance to the images. Plants and trees are particularly interesting subjects for infrared photography due to their distinct foliage and texture.
